Electronic Devices in the Cabin - NEW RESTRICTIONS

Passengers flying to the US are being advised to arrive for their flight earlier than usual as new tighter security measures come into force from Wednesday 19th July. Travellers will face more vigorous screening, particularly of large electronic devices.

British Airways has also updated news:

If you are flying from Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, Tunisia or Turkey to the UK (inbound not outbound), you will not be able to carry laptops, tablets and larger mobile phones in your hand baggage on these flights. In addition, the UK government has also said that certain items known as peripheral devices (which can be attached to a laptop, tablet or larger mobile phone) are also subject to new security requirements.
